About The Position

The RMT I Fuel Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering technical training programs for field technicians supporting fuel systems and forecourt equipment. This role ensures technicians are proficient in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and compliance of fuel dispensing systems, tank monitoring, and POS integration within retail fueling environments.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in retail fuel systems and forecourt equipment
• Certifications in: Gilbarco Veeder-Root (GVR) and or Wayne Fueling Dispensers
• Certifications in: Veeder-Root tank monitoring systems
• Certifications in: At least one POS platform (Verifone or Passport)
• Certifications in: State-specific fuel system certifications as required
• Strong working knowledge in Fuel Dispensing & Forecourt Systems
• Strong working knowledge in Gilbarco dispensers and related hardware/software
• Strong working knowledge in Wayne Fueling Dispensers
• Strong working knowledge in Incon tank monitoring systems
• Strong working knowledge in Veeder-Root ATG (Automatic Tank Gauge) systems
• Strong working knowledge in Point of Sale (POS) Systems
• Strong working knowledge in Verifone POS systems
• Strong working knowledge in Passport POS systems
• Strong working knowledge in Integration between POS and forecourt controllers
• Strong working knowledge in Compliance & Regulatory
• Strong working knowledge in Fuel system safety and environmental regulations
• Strong working knowledge in Leak detection systems and monitoring requirements
• Strong working knowledge in State and local compliance standards

Nice To Haves

• Strong understanding of forecourt-to-POS integration and communication systems
• Ability to troubleshoot both hardware and software-related issues
• Effective communication and instructional delivery skills
• Experience working in retail / C-store fuel environments
• Prior training or leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured technical training programs for new and existing technicians
• Conduct field training, ride-alongs, and hands-on system demonstrations
• Train on installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of fuel systems
• Develop and maintain training materials, SOPs, and job aids
• Ensure technicians understand and follow regulatory and safety compliance requirements
• Evaluate technician performance and identify skill gaps
• Support rollout of new technologies, equipment, and system upgrades
