About The Position

The Regional Logistics Specialist is responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage loading and unloading tasks effectively. The Specialist will oversee the accuracy and completeness of deliveries to customers on-site. This role involves managing inspections at the warehouse and coordinating with warehouse personnel to optimize inbound and outbound processes. Additionally, the Logistics Specialist ensures quality during customer on-site deliveries and manages their own schedule to balance time at the warehouse, travel, and customer site visits.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a box truck to deliver goods to various locations in a timely manner.
  • Load and unload product, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
  • Follow designated routes for delivery while maintaining accurate logs of mileage and delivery times.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with teammates regarding any delays or issues encountered during deliveries.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck.
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel to prioritize and schedule outbound processes efficiently, ensuring that dispatch processes are streamlined and accurately managed.
  • Perform check-ins at customer sites upon delivery, ensuring that all shipments align with customer expectations and packing lists.
  • Address discrepancies or quality issues on-site, including shortages or labeling errors, and collaborate with warehouse and supplier teams to resolve issues quickly.
  • Confirm the quality of outbound shipments before they leave the warehouse, including accuracy, completeness, and labeling.
  • Document any quality issues, discrepancies, or opportunities for improvement, and report to warehouse management and stakeholders to enhance overall processes.
  • Effectively manage personal schedule to balance travel time, warehouse tasks, and on-site customer visits, ensuring adequate time is allocated to each responsibility.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and logistics needs, maintaining flexibility and productivity across multiple locations and activities.
