About The Position

This position is responsible for the control and work associated with the inventory control process. The role involves managing, tracking, receiving, and transferring distribution meters, as well as shipping, receiving, and documenting transformer and distribution equipment repairs. The representative will also perform basic general warehouse duties, maintain inventory stock levels, and assist in managing the requisition, purchase order, and accounting for items associated with the supply chain process. Additionally, the role supports facility management, prepares and provides expertise for efficiencies within the inventory control process, and handles loading/unloading of materials. The position requires operating a forklift, making deliveries, managing uniform ordering and cleaning, coordinating vehicle fleet and facility maintenance, managing rubber goods testing, and organizing/maintaining proper storage of materials and tools. The representative will also clean the storeroom and yard, assist in the implementation of RESAP credentialing, operate PEC vehicles, and maintain driver eligibility. Security of confidential information and regular attendance are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of warehouse and stocking related experience
  • Forklift certification required or able to obtain within 30 days from hire date
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Report that comply with PEC policy
  • Knowledge of using computer systems, which may include setting up and using hardware and software programs, entering data or processing information
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service
  • Skilled in time management
  • Skilled in managing changing priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to listen and understand information verbally and in writing
  • Ability to anticipate, identify, analyze and resolve conflict and problems

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, shop and receive tool, instrument and equipment repairs from vendors
  • Manage, track, receive and transfer distribution meters
  • Ship, receive and document transformer and distribution equipment repairs
  • Perform basic general warehouse duties in the absence of supervisor
  • Maintain inventory stock levels of materials and supplies
  • Order, issue and receive materials and supplies to include invoice receipts and payments
  • Assist in managing the requisition, purchase order and accounting for items associated with the supply chain process
  • Assist with managing facilities
  • Prepare and provide expertise for efficiencies within the inventory control process
  • Load and unload materials and supplies in accordance with safety rules and best practices
  • Proof job order requests

  • Maintain driver eligibility through appropriate valid Texas Driver's License and driving record in accordance with PEC policy
