As the Regional Infrastructure Management Team Leader, you and your team ensure the long-term functionality, ongoing accessibility, and safe operation of infrastructure, facilities, and equipment located in numerous geographically dispersed provincial parks and recreation areas within the Alberta Parks Central Region. You will work closely and collaboratively with the site-based teams responsible for the day-to-day operation of these provincial parks and recreation areas as well as a variety of contractors. Your main responsibilities will include: Through your work as a member of the Alberta Parks team, you will make a meaningful contribution to Albertans’ quality of life and ensure that parks remain healthy and accessible for future generations.

Requirements

  • Two-year technical diploma in a related field plus six years related experience.
  • Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of: 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination of major repairs in response to asset breakdowns and failures.
  • Preventative maintenance planning, coordination, and tracking.
  • Provision of technical and regulatory compliance support for potable and wastewater system operations.
  • Identifying capital maintenance and renewal priorities.
  • Providing input into various facility and capital planning initiatives.
  • Liaising and collaborating with project managers managing various capital development and/or renewal projects throughout the Region.
  • Developing contract specifications and tender documents.
  • Awarding and managing contracts.
