This role performs technical and archival duties to preserve Uinta Basin history, including processing records and artifacts. Key tasks include assisting patrons with research, managing digital scanning projects, and recording oral histories. Additionally, the position supports the arrangement of archival collections and the creation of historical displays in the county building under professional guidance. Qualified candidates will possess a high school diploma or GED supplemented by two years of relevant experience in a library, archive, museum, or historical organization. Alternatively, an Associate’s degree in History, Library Science, Museum Studies, or a related field, combined with one year of experience in archives or historical preservation, is acceptable. Candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field may qualify without prior experience, as comprehensive training will be provided. An equivalent combination of education and professional experience will also be considered. This full-time position offers $17.42 an hour, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package.
