Requirements

5+ years of Health and Safety experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment
Strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and other applicable health and safety regulations
Experience conducting inspections, investigations, risk assessments, and safety training programs
Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and recommend solutions
Ability to work the required schedule, work on-site, and read, write, and understand English

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in a related field and professional Health and Safety certification preferred

Responsibilities

Lead and promote a strong safety culture through training, coaching, safety committees, and employee engagement initiatives
Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, programs, procedures, and emergency response plans
Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure regulatory compliance
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; determine root causes and implement corrective actions
Coordinate employee safety training programs, including new hire orientation, refresher training, and regulatory-required programs
Partner with plant and operations leadership to support safety objectives, improve performance, and reduce workplace risks
Maintain safety records, prepare compliance reports, and communicate program performance to leadership and regulatory agencies
Other duties as assigned
