Requirements

  • 5+ years of Health and Safety experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and other applicable health and safety regulations
  • Experience conducting inspections, investigations, risk assessments, and safety training programs
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and recommend solutions
  • Ability to work the required schedule, work on-site, and read, write, and understand English

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and professional Health and Safety certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and promote a strong safety culture through training, coaching, safety committees, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, programs, procedures, and emergency response plans
  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; determine root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Coordinate employee safety training programs, including new hire orientation, refresher training, and regulatory-required programs
  • Partner with plant and operations leadership to support safety objectives, improve performance, and reduce workplace risks
  • Maintain safety records, prepare compliance reports, and communicate program performance to leadership and regulatory agencies
  • Other duties as assigned
