About The Position

The General Manager, EMEA is the senior leader accountable for Cytek's performance across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this Vice President-level role owns regional strategy, revenue, profitability, operations, customer experience, and organizational health. The GM leads the commercial organization and coordinates applications support, field marketing, commercial operations, logistics and warehousing, Finance, Human Resources, office administration, facilities, and health and safety. The GM partners closely with its leadership to deliver seamless regional customer experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Typically 12+ years of progressive commercial and business leadership, including responsibility for a multi-country region or business unit.
  • Substantial P&L experience with demonstrated revenue growth, margin improvement, resource allocation, forecasting and operating execution.
  • Success leading and coaching sales teams across direct and distributor channels in capital equipment, scientific instruments, medical devices, life sciences or diagnostics.
  • Strong knowledge of EMEA markets, healthcare and research customers, tenders, distributor management, and regional business and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience integrating commercial, applications, operations, logistics, Finance, HR, and other functions in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to serve as a statutory director and authorized signatory, subject to legal and company requirements; sound judgment and integrity are essential.
  • Experience in a multinational company required; U.S. public-company and regulated life-sciences experience preferred.
  • Strong executive communication, influence, negotiation and problem-solving skills across cultures and organizational levels.
  • Fluent English required; another European language preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the EMEA strategy and annual operating plan. Own revenue, gross margin, operating expense, profitability, cash and working capital; allocate resources and take corrective action against plan.
  • Coach the EMEA sales organization to deliver sustainable growth across direct and distributor channels. Set clear revenue and market-share goals and strengthen territory, account and channel strategies.
  • Drive rigor in pipeline development, CRM accuracy, forecasting, pricing, tenders, contracting and deal execution. Use data to remove barriers and hold leaders accountable.
  • Build senior relationships with strategic customers, distributors and key opinion leaders. Maintain knowledge of regional research, clinical and diagnostic markets, competition, procurement and growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate lead-to-order, order-to-cash and customer-support activities to improve speed, quality and customer experience. Establish clear ownership, service levels and escalation paths.
  • Oversee logistics, warehousing, third-party logistics, shipments, inventory controls and issue resolution. Partner with global Operations and Supply Chain to balance customer commitments, cost, compliance and supply continuity.
  • Align with Global Services and regional Field Service leaders on capacity, installation readiness, escalations, customer satisfaction and commercial priorities through effective matrix leadership.
  • Lead the regional Finance team and oversee budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition, collections, expense management, internal controls, and reporting. Ensure compliance with SOX and delegation-of-authority requirements.
  • Build a strong EMEA leadership team; set expectations, coach leaders, manage performance, strengthen succession, and foster an inclusive, accountable, and collaborative culture.
  • Lead the regional HR function, oversee people operations, office administration, facilities, employee experience, health and safety, and compliance with local employment practices and company standards.
  • Represent EMEA in enterprise planning and partner with global functions to drive coordinated execution.
  • Ensure adherence to laws, quality requirements, company policies, internal controls, data privacy, trade compliance and ethical practices. Identify and escalate material risks promptly.
  • Serve as a statutory director of Cytek Biosciences B.V. and designated regional entities, fulfilling applicable fiduciary, governance and reporting duties. Act as an authorized signatory within approved authority, board resolutions and local law.
