About The Position

The LIBRE Initiative, rooted in the Hispanic community, aims to advance public policy solutions that foster freedom and opportunity. LIBRE empowers communities by addressing immigration reform, promoting affordable healthcare, advocating for an individualized education system, and fostering an economy that supports everyone's success. As a Regional Field Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, recruiting, and engaging grassroots leaders in the Greater Dallas market to mobilize them for action and drive policy reforms that create opportunities for all. This role is internally referred to as a Grassroots Engagement Director.

Requirements

  • Fluency in Spanish and English.

  • Knowledge of state and federal public policy landscapes.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong organization skills to manage multiple events and activities.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team, including LIBRE staff and activists.
  • Enthusiasm for canvassing neighborhoods and making phone calls for LIBRE and AFP priority initiatives and AFP Action endorsed candidates.
  • Ability to motivate and coordinate volunteers.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Integrity, humility, and an entrepreneurial attitude.
  • Enthusiasm to contribute to Stand Together's vision and principled approach to problem-solving.
  • Commitment to stewarding a culture that champions transformation, innovation, entrepreneurialism, humility, and respect.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in grassroots advocacy, community organization, and/or political campaigns.
  • Volunteer or staff supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Identify activists in various parts of the state who are currently, or could become, leaders in their local communities, and motivate them to advocate for change.
  • Equip local leaders with the training and resources of LIBRE to advocate for changes consistent with LIBRE's principles.
  • Organize events involving phone calls, social media engagement, and neighborhood canvassing to engage the public.
  • Innovate and create unique ways to reach people and educate them on public policy issues and initiatives.
  • Maintain regular contact with activists to ensure they remain motivated, educated, and active.
  • Manage part-time canvassing contractors, including time management, compliance with laws and regulations, and best practices.
