About The Position

The LIBRE Initiative is seeking a Regional Field Manager, also known internally as a Grassroots Engagement Director, to identify, recruit, and engage grassroots leaders in the Harrisburg Tri-County area. The goal is to mobilize these leaders to take action and drive policy reforms that create opportunities for all. LIBRE is rooted in the Hispanic community and focuses on public policy solutions related to immigration, healthcare, education, and economic growth. The organization is part of Americans for Prosperity and the Stand Together philanthropic community.

Requirements

Knowledge of state and federal public policy landscapes.
Self-motivation and ability to optimize time to accomplish objectives.
Organization skills to manage multiple events and activities for oneself and engaged individuals.
Ability to work well with a team, including LIBRE staff and activists.
Excitement to canvass neighborhoods and make phone calls for LIBRE and AFP priority initiatives and AFP Action endorsed candidates.
A valid driver's license.
Willingness to work a flexible and changing work schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Integrity, humility, and an entrepreneurial attitude.
Enthusiasm to contribute to Stand Together's vision and principled approach to solving problems.

Nice To Haves

Fluency in Spanish and English.
Experience in grassroots advocacy, community organization, and/or political campaigns.
Volunteer or staff supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Identify activists in various parts of the state who are currently - or could become leaders - in their local communities, and motivate them to advocate for change.
Equip local leaders to advocate for changes consistent with LIBRE's principles by connecting them to training and resources.
Organize events for public engagement through phone calls, social media, and face-to-face neighborhood interactions.
Innovate by creating fun or unique ways to reach people to educate them on public policy issues and initiatives.
Ensure regular contact with activists to keep them motivated, educated, and active.
Manage part-time canvassing contractors, including time management, compliance with laws and regulations, and best practices.
