About The Position

We’re looking for a strategic, results-driven Regional Executive to take ownership of the revenue and profitability of our $100M+ Pacific region. In this leadership role you will own developing and implementing underwriting strategies across our commercial lines for the Pacific region. You’ll lead a dedicated regional team of 20+ professionals, fostering a collaborative environment focused on operational excellence and professional growth.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of underwriting experience specifically within standard commercial lines property and casualty insurance in the state of California
  • Significant experience in commercial lines underwriting.
  • Insurance and product management experience demonstrated technical insurance background in Commercial Lines Property and Casualty insurance.
  • Knowledge of marketing techniques, trends, and concepts.
  • Superior problem solving and analytical skills with proven ability to make data driven decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Successful management experience.
  • Ability to meet travel requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute regional strategies to optimize premium growth and profitability across applicable commercial lines of business. Strategies are regionally based and informed by a deep understanding of market dynamics, independent agencies and end customers, relationships and any other factors that influences paths to market in the niche.
  • Maintain close contact with marketing functions and agencies to define target market segments, marketing requirements, key business strategies, and the competitive environment for this region.
  • Maintain knowledge of current market trends, competitor’s products and strategies, rate levels, and product success and shortcomings in order to reach premium and growth objectives.
  • Responsible for the creation and execution of premium plans in the region by ensuring independent agencies deliver and execute marketing strategies.
  • Provides leadership and coaching to marketing representatives reinforcing the agency management process.
  • Implement and maintain underwriting standards policies, procedures, practices, and processes for Regional products.
  • Provides support and training to (field) underwriting staff within the region.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to create successful business strategies and tactics to profitably grow this region.
