The Regional Environmental, Health & Safety Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing regional activities associated with Environmental, Health and Safety compliance. This role involves leading and directing EHS activities for water, wastewater, and public works operations projects in a designated region, reinforcing safe working techniques, and ensuring compliance with Company policies, guidelines, and procedures. The position also involves providing daily guidance to ensure effective regulatory compliance and aid in incident and injury reduction, as well as developing, implementing, and coordinating regulatory programs. A strong knowledge of Federal and Regional regulations (OSHA and EPA) is essential, along with a proven track record of implementing compliance programs. The role requires understanding environmental compliance regulations for water and wastewater treatment, knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations, and the ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential losses. Ensuring regulatory agency inspections are coordinated and deficiencies are corrected, reviewing accidents and incidents, conducting field reviews, and maintaining knowledge of new regulations are also key responsibilities. Additionally, the role involves developing and implementing an EHS training matrix, conducting EHS and DOT training, managing workers’ compensation and other insurance programs, managing EHS web-based systems, and assisting with the Business Development process. Adherence to all company health and safety procedures is mandatory, along with performing other assigned duties.
