As a Regional Engineering Project Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering a major capital investment project in Bedford, Nova Scotia, driving the successful execution of a large-scale, multi-year transformation initiative. This position offers a unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of capital project delivery, engineering leadership, and operational integration, where you will serve as the technical lead and key integrator across multiple project streams. You will be responsible for ensuring alignment between engineering solutions, project execution, and business objectives, while partnering with cross-functional teams and external engineering firms. This is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to senior leadership, ideal for a candidate who thrives in complex, fast-paced project environments and is motivated by delivering impactful, large-scale results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline
  • 7–10+ years of experience in project engineering and capital project delivery within industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Proven track record successfully delivering large-scale capital projects ($20M+)
  • Strong experience leading and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering projects
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and collaborate with external partners, consultants, and vendors
  • Solid systems thinking with the ability to navigate and oversee complex technical environments
  • Proven strength in project planning, structuring, and execution
  • Ability to lead, influence, and drive alignment without direct authority
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, including senior and executive leadership
  • Strong stakeholder management skills in matrixed and evolving environments
  • Resilient, adaptable, and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to manage ambiguity and shifting priorities

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical execution of a large, multidisciplinary capital project (building, process, utilities, automation)
  • Oversee and coordinate multiple project workstreams (facility expansion, utilities, equipment installation)
  • Manage and collaborate with external engineering firms, consultants, and contractors
  • Review, challenge, and validate engineering designs and deliverables
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and execution plans
  • Ensure alignment between technical decisions, project timelines, and overall objectives
  • Support and oversee construction, installation, and commissioning activities
  • Drive project performance to ensure delivery on time, on scope, and on budget
  • Collaborate with engineering partners during design development and technical reviews
  • Maintain a strong on-site presence during execution, ensuring effective coordination and project delivery
