About The Position

Freedom Boat Club is seeking a Regional Dock Operations Manager to support dock operations across multiple waterfront locations throughout Cape Cod and the South Coast of Massachusetts. This leadership role combines field operations, team leadership, and fleet oversight across some of the most active recreational boating locations in New England. You will work closely with dock managers and staff to ensure boats, docks, and members are supported with safe and consistent operations while helping develop strong dock teams. If you enjoy working around boats, leading teams, solving operational challenges, and spending time on the water, this is a unique opportunity to help lead a large regional boating operation. A Typical Day Might Include Visiting multiple dock locations to support staff and operations Checking fleet readiness and coordinating repairs if needed Coaching location managers and helping solve operational challenges Supporting dock teams during busy boating days Ensuring safety procedures and operational standards are followed No two days are the same. The role combines leadership, problem solving, and time on the waterfront.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to tow and launch boats up to 26 feet
  • Ability to obtain DOT medical card
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in: Marina or dock operations, Marine service or boatyard work, Harbor or waterfront operations, Marine trades or marine construction, Charter or commercial marine operations
  • Leadership experience is preferred, but strong marine candidates looking to move into leadership are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Support and oversee operations across multiple Freedom Boat Club locations
  • Work directly with Location Managers and dock teams
  • Help maintain consistent service and operational standards
  • Coordinate boat maintenance and repairs with mechanics and vendors
  • Monitor vessel availability and downtime
  • Ensure incidents and maintenance issues are properly documented
  • Promote a strong culture of safety across dock locations
  • Conduct periodic dock and vessel inspections
  • Assist with storm preparation and weather-related closures
  • Assist with hiring and onboarding dock staff and location managers
  • Support staff training and development
  • Help maintain consistent operating procedures across locations
