About The Position
The Granite YMCA is seeking a Regional Director of School Age Childcare to oversee multiple licensed school-age childcare programs in the Somersworth, Dover, Portsmouth area. The position will support staff development, ensure program quality, and build strong relationships with children, families, schools, and community partners.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience, including 3+ years managing youth programs.
- At least 7 years of experience working with children in a developmental setting.
- Ability to meet NH Child Care Licensing requirements of a site director
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel between program locations.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days).
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for multiple school-age childcare sites.
- Ensure compliance with NH Child Care Licensing regulations and YMCA standards.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise program directors and staff.
- Manage budgets, enrollment goals, and program performance.
- Support risk management, quality improvement, and recordkeeping.
- Build relationships with families, schools, and community organizations.
- Travel regularly between childcare sites and YMCA branches throughout the region.
