About The Position

Provides general oversight and guidance to Community Executive Directors, establishing goals and objectives, and assisting in the development and implementation of organizational, financial, and marketing plans, policies, and procedures. This role involves collaborating on annual budgets, evaluating adherence to regulations and operating procedures, and reviewing insurance coverage. The position also serves as an on-call resource for urgent matters, monitors account receivable activities, conducts performance evaluations, and supports staff development. Additionally, the Regional Director participates in hiring processes, monitors quality improvement and safety programs, conducts regular on-site consultative visits, provides day-to-day support in the absence of an Executive Director, and evaluates overall operations including compliance with various programs and TELS. Regular meetings with community ownership representatives are also a key part of the role.

Requirements

  • Must have current HFA or RCA licensure.
  • 5 years healthcare experience required
  • multi-site management experience required.
  • Thorough knowledge of state, federal and local regulations.
  • Valid driver's licensed with record in good standing per insurance vendor
  • Position will require extensive travel and overnight stays

Responsibilities

  • Provides general oversight and guidance to Community Executive Director
  • Establishes, in conjunction with the Executive Director, the Community’s goals and objectives
  • Assists Executive Director in developing and implementing organizational, financial, marketing plans, policies and procedures
  • Collaborates with the Executive Director in preparing and controlling annual budget
  • Evaluates the Community’s adherence to all applicable regulations and approved operating procedures
  • Reviews Community’s liability, property, and compensation insurance coverage and provides recommendations to ownership
  • Acts as an on-call resource to the Communities and Gardant on a 24-hour basis to address urgent matters
  • Reviews and monitors account receivable activities at each Community to ensure collection and billing process/policies are adhered to
  • Conducts formal performance evaluations at the end of the introductory period and on an annual basis
  • Supports in the planning and provision of informational in-services and other staff development activities
  • Participates in department manager interviews and the hiring process
  • Monitors Community’s Quality Improvement and safety programs
  • Maintains a schedule of on-site consultative visits with Executive Director and department managers
  • Provides onsite day-to-day support in absence of an Executive Director
  • Completes a minimum of quarterly on-site visit for each Community and provides oral and written feedback to Executive Director to ensure Community is meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Evaluates overall operations including, but not limited to, ensuring compliance with daily standup meetings, call light review, QAPI program, rent readiness, finance & revenue accounting and TELS compliance
  • Meets with community ownership representative(s) on an ongoing, periodic basis concerning the overall performance and status of the Community
