About The Position

The Regional Director of Security (Senior Portfolio Manager) is the key management representative responsible for strategic oversight of the client’s portfolio security operations. This role serves as the primary liaison between our client and Admiral, for all aspects of the contract. The Regional Director of Security (Senior Portfolio Manager)collaborates with diverse stakeholders to plan, organize, and execute security operations aligned with contractual deliverables, post orders and procedures, conducting investigations and training, liaising with law enforcement and first responders, attending public-private partnership meetings, coordinating with the Admiral Divisional office, and maintaining reporting for our client and Admiral. Building trust and acting as a strategic advisor are central to this position. The Regional Director of Security (Senior Portfolio Manager) is based in Bethesda and oversees the Admiral portfolio management team, client relations, and tenant relations in accordance with the contract.

Requirements

  • 7 + years of experience managing security operations preferred. Military or law enforcement management experience may be considered. Education may be considered in lieu of experience.
  • Must be flexible as position is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Successfully complete all required training.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle.
  • In accordance with applicable laws, Criminal background records check, motor vehicle records check, and drug test required.
  • Internal candidates must have an exemplary performance and attendance record with NO administrative actions within a year of applying for this position.

  • This position may require work inside and outside in varying temperatures. This position requires standing for prolonged periods of time, walking, bending and some lifting. A portion of this position may require sitting in front of a computer for prolonged periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior point of contact between Admiral and its client for security-related matters at its facilities in D.C., Montgomery County, MD and Alexander, VA.
  • Support alignment with client leadership regarding strategy, expectations, escalations, and overall service delivery.
  • Provide insights, recommendations, and situational updates regarding security matters, and emerging issues.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to support delivery of services in alignment with contractual requirements and post orders.
  • Support strategic engagement with client security leadership across the portfolio.
  • Prepare and deliver operational reports and participate in client review meetings as required.
  • Communicate significant incidents and matters of concern to appropriate client and Admiral leadership in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with federal, state, and local law enforcement and relevant agencies to support site safety and response efforts.
  • Support relationships with public-private partnerships, professional associations, and community stakeholders.
  • Participate in coordination efforts with the client and other community partners, as appropriate.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and public safety partners in support of site operations and planned activities.
  • Support implementation and ongoing delivery of contractual security services and operational objectives.
  • Provide oversight of assigned security initiatives and operational activities.
  • Identify potential operational gaps, trends, and recommend corrective actions in coordination with site leadership.
  • Utilize available data (e.g., TrackTik and other systems) to inform operational recommendations, and program adjustments.
  • Facilitate training programs, reviews, and assessments as appropriate.
  • Promote compliance with company standards, contractual requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support maintenance and periodic review of post orders, procedures, and related documentation.
  • Promote appropriate use and care of security equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • Serve as a point of coordination for stakeholder security-related concerns in accordance with contract.
  • Coordinate with client management to support alignment between tenant expectations and security procedures.
  • Support resolution of complex or sensitive situations.
  • Assist in delivery of value-added services such as training and awareness initiatives.
  • Support development and distribution of relevant communications.
  • Support planning and coordination of security measures for events, activations, and seasonal programming.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and public safety partners to support event execution.
  • Respond to and oversee incident management in accordance with post orders, company procedures, and applicable guidelines.
  • Conduct site visits, including periodic after-hours and weekend coverage, to support operational awareness and readiness.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to on-site security management personnel, supporting accountability for operational performance.
  • Support development, coaching, and performance management of supervisors and managers.
  • Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts in coordination with Admiral leadership and HR.
  • Assist in removing operational barriers and facilitating continuity of service.
  • Promote alignment with client expectations, contractual obligations, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (HR, payroll, QA, support services) to support operational needs.
  • Maintain regular communication with internal leadership and support functions.
  • Provide coverage support as needed to maintain continuity of operations.
