About The Position

The Regional Director of Security Operations is responsible for operational excellence, financial performance, and talent development across security branches within a defined region. This role provides strategic and hands-on leadership to Branch Managers and their teams, overseeing the installation, integration, service, and monitoring of electronic security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and integrated security solutions. The Regional Director drives profitable growth, recurring revenue, service quality, and customer satisfaction while developing teams with strong security industry expertise.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in security operations, including multi-site or regional responsibility, and full P&L ownership.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the installation, integration, and service of commercial electronic security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection.
  • Strong understanding of security monitoring services, service agreements, and recurring monthly revenue business models.
  • Working knowledge of network based security systems, system integration, and coordination with customer teams.
  • Proven success managing Branch Managers, project managers, and field service teams while improving profitability, operational performance, and customer retention.
  • Experience with security project estimating, labor planning, job costing, backlog management, and service delivery metrics.
  • Familiarity with applicable security industry licensing requirements, standards, and manufacturer training programs.
  • Strong financial, analytical, communication, leadership, and change management skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience integrating acquired security businesses preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to Branch Managers and their security operations teams.
  • Identify, develop, and retain management, project management, and technical talent with experience in security systems.
  • Partner with HR and Learning & Development on succession planning, leadership development, and technical training, including relevant manufacturer certifications.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, technical proficiency, and continuous improvement across all branches.
  • Ensure consistent project execution, workmanship, documentation, and customer handoffs across access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and monitoring solutions.
  • Monitor project profitability, technician productivity, scheduling, backlog, service response times, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure teams have the technical capabilities, staffing, tools, and vendor support necessary to deliver reliable security solutions.
  • Oversee operational coordination with monitoring providers and technology partners to support reliable service delivery and timely issue resolution.
  • Ensure operations meet applicable licensing requirements, industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and company safety and quality expectations.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex operational issues, major projects, and key customer concerns.
  • Own full P&L performance across the region for security function, driving revenue growth, profitability, cost efficiency, and disciplined resource management.
  • Improve underperforming branches through structured performance reviews, action plans, and hands-on operational support.
  • Partner with Sales to grow security installation, service agreements, monitoring, and other recurring monthly revenue opportunities.
  • Lead the introduction of new security services and technologies that support customer needs and regional growth.
  • Identify and qualify potential security acquisition targets; support operational due diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition performance.
  • Partner with Finance, Sales and regional leadership to evaluate branch performance, customer opportunities, pricing, and investment decisions.
  • Optimize branch locations, staffing, fleet, inventory, and equipment to improve market coverage and operational efficiency.
  • Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
