About The Position

The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for the operational, financial, and cultural performance of assigned Starling communities. This role partners closely with Starlings’ COO and Executive Directors to ensure consistent execution of operational standards, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and exceptional resident experience. The Regional Director provides leadership, coaching, and accountability to community leadership teams while supporting strategic initiatives that strengthen census growth, operational efficiency, and team culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Hospital Administration, or Health related field.
  • Minimum of three years managerial experience preferably in the senior living, health care or hospitality industries.
  • Previous management experience including hiring, coaching, performance management, daily operations supervision and discipline.
  • Demonstration of success in managing operating expenses.
  • Administrator License/certification may be required per state requirements.

  • Previous sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership, guidance, and operational oversight to Executive Directors across assigned communities.
  • Partners with Executive Directors to drive occupancy growth, financial performance, and operational excellence.
  • Monitors community performance through KPIs including census, labor management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conducts routine community visits, operational reviews, and performance audits.
  • Coaches and mentors Executive Directors to strengthen leadership effectiveness.
  • Supports development of strong leadership teams and succession planning.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance and survey readiness.
  • Partners with corporate departments including sales, marketing, HR, and clinical services.
  • Supports communities during leadership transitions or operational improvements.

  • Other initiatives or duties as assigned by COO.
