About The Position

SkyHop Global is a fast-growing, service-driven company and a top provider of ground transportation to airline crews nationwide. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Regional Director of Operations will be responsible for the successful day-to-day operations of stations in the designated region. This role provides leadership and direction to station management teams, reinforcing a performance culture aligned with core values. The Regional Director will align teams through specified performance measures to achieve service, safety, and financial goals, ultimately managing the delivery of the Company vision. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving operational performance, financial results, workforce management, and customer satisfaction across multiple locations in the Texas market (Austin, Houston, Dallas/DFW). The ideal candidate is a hands-on operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can solve complex operational challenges, and has a proven ability to lead large teams through rapid growth and change. The business operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, requiring strong decision-making, adaptability, accountability, and a relentless focus on execution.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated passion for delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence, with experience in transportation, aviation, hospitality, retail, logistics, or other service-driven industries.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive multi-site leadership experience with responsibility for operational performance, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to support a 24/7/365 operation, including flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and respond to urgent operational needs.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with employees, customers, and leaders at all levels.
  • Strong strategic thinking, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to balance hands-on operational leadership while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop diverse teams, foster an inclusive workplace culture, and drive accountability and high performance.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, analyzing profit and loss statements, identifying operational efficiencies, and implementing cost-control initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and execute effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50%–75% within the assigned region and periodically to company headquarters.
  • Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position, including lifting, moving, and handling items weighing up to 75 pounds up to 20 times per day, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including outdoor heat, cold, rain, and other weather conditions.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and meet the Company's motor vehicle and insurance eligibility requirements.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any permits, badges, or authorizations required by airport authorities, municipalities, or regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures each station in the region achieves Company financial goals by regularly analyzing financial performance.
  • Conducts monthly business reviews with each station leader on key performance indicators and adjusts plans as needed.
  • Develops quarterly business plans with each station leader to ensure preparedness for local events and training for unplanned events.
  • Ensures Station Leaders execute effective scheduling practices, including timely posting of schedules, covering all trips per contractual guidelines, and proper LOD coverage.
  • Partners with HR to manage station recruiting, ensuring stations are fully staffed with proper availability and that onboarding is completed correctly and timely.
  • Develops succession plans for staffing needs and demonstrates a strong ability to recruit and develop talent.
  • Identifies and develops designated trainers for station leaders and drivers within the region, ensuring effective training for new hires.
  • Effectively addresses performance issues and holds teams accountable constructively and timely, partnering with HR and elevating concerns with urgency.
  • Acts as a point of escalation for service issues, advising station leaders on proper reporting and documentation, and ensuring all complaints are answered within 24 hours.
  • Leverages data from observations and reported service issues to identify root causes and implement process improvements.
  • Engages station leaders to identify operational improvements in areas such as route optimization, fleet utilization, fuel expenditures, and maintenance costs.
  • Builds a best-in-class safety culture by leveraging training tools, employee engagement, recognition, and coaching, ensuring all safety policies are implemented and followed.
  • Ensures auditing of fuel cards, time and attendance, vehicle maintenance, office paperwork, recordkeeping, and vehicle documents to maintain compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Leads fleet managers to ensure vehicle maintenance schedules are in place, the correct number of vehicles are at each station, correct maintenance tools are present, and vehicles are maintained properly.
