About The Position
Centurion is seeking a full-time Regional Director of Nursing for Region 1 to lead a team of medical healthcare professionals at various correctional locations throughout Missouri. This role provides leadership and clinical direction to the statewide nursing program under the direction of the Statewide Director of Nursing. The Regional Director of Nursing will work closely with onsite Directors of Nursing and nursing staff to ensure high-quality, responsive, and effective healthcare services are delivered to inmates. This position requires frequent travel to facilities within the assigned territory in Central Missouri and to the Regional Office in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Requirements
- Must hold valid RN license in Missouri
- Bachelor's degree is required
- Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
- Must submit to and pass drug testing per agency requirements where applicable
- Must have at least two (2) years of related correctional experience or correctional healthcare experience, with a state correctional system
- Must show current tuberculosis documentation
- Must be appropriately certified in first aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) / Basic Life Support (BLS), and automated external defibrillator (AED) use
Nice To Haves
- Master’s Degree preferred
- Progressive experience in nursing care with a minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience preferred
- Experience in examining operations, formulating, developing, and implementing new strategies and procedures preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and clinical direction to statewide nursing program per the direction of the Statewide Director of Nursing.
- Works closely with onsite Directors of Nursing and nursing staff in the provision of healthcare services to inmates.
- Coordinates nursing services with multidisciplinary team to ensure high quality, responsive, effective services are delivered.
- Responsible for the following Locations: Chillicothe, MO, Cameron, MO, Maryville, MO, Kansas City, MO, St. Joseph, MO.
