About The Position

The Regional Director of Care Transition develops, coordinates, directs, and administers facility's marketing and public relations programs and services so as to ensure full occupancy. This role promotes the facility and its services to outside sources such as physicians, discharge planners, business members of the community, churches and schools providing adult education. The position requires maintaining a thorough knowledge of the facility's admission requirements, services and programs, and admissions policies and procedures. Additionally, the role involves conducting tours for members of the community as well as families, conducting pre-admission interviews with prospective residents/guarantors and explaining all services of the nursing facility. The Regional Director also maintains ongoing communication with the media and contacts them when new programs, promotions, etc., are implemented within the facility, and develops and regularly updates the current file of media contacts. The role requires keeping the Administrator informed of newspaper, radio and television accounts of noteworthy items of general interest that may have an impact on the facility or regulations that govern the facility.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years' experience in marketing/public relations in health care setting required
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of principles of effective communication, mass media, advertising, community relations, etc., as they relate to nursing facility operations
  • Ability to make direct sales calls, and to organize and deliver public presentations
  • Must possess ability to establish, implement and maintain effective marketing and public relations program

Nice To Haves

  • previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college with specialization in marketing, communications or equivalent preferred
