About The Position

CRH's Americas Materials division is the leading integrated supplier of aggregates, asphalt, ready mixed concrete and paving and construction services in North America. Our operations span North America with over 29,000 employees at close to 1,660 locations in 45 US States and 2 Canadian provinces. The Regional Director, Accounts Receivable, will lead our regional A/R operations, drive collections, cash flow and team performance to meet financial targets. The Accounts Receivable Director will also partner with the Operating Company controllers to provide financial and analytical support and to provide leadership of the A/R function. This role oversees billing, credit, collections, cash applications and A/R analytics while guiding a team to meet organizational goals. The ideal candidate is a strategic, data-driven leader with a strong operational mindset and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business with strong accounting experience (CPA, CMA and/or Master's Degree preferred).
  • Five (5) years of experience in a mid-to-senior level finance or accounting position.
  • Ability to confidently and effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and SOX requirements.
  • Computer proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
  • Proven ability to develop relationships and to work with teams as both a leader and a participant.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including invoicing, cash application and collections.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of customer payments and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes related to accounts receivable.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies and relevant regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Provide support on acquisition activities ensuring that finance objectives and best practices are clear and understood throughout the entire integration process.
  • Develop key metrics to help manage the region with proper financial information.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement standardized best practices.
  • Provide support to Accounts Receivable clerks on their daily tasks.
  • Work with other departments, such as sales and finance, to resolve billing issues and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned by the Regional CFO on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.
