The Regional Director (RD) for Life Sales is the central resource and relationship manager for their assigned territory. Reporting to the National Sales Manager of Corebridge Financial Life, this position’s primary focus is on business development with responsibility for product positioning, marketing strategies, planning, research and problem solving.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of Life Insurance (Term, IUL, and WL) and familiarity with Advanced Sales concepts.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong listening skills required.
  • Demonstrated record of initiative, leadership, problem-solving and adaptability.
  • Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to plan, organize, develop and deliver effective presentations to a targeted audience.
  • State Life & Health License.
  • Bachelor’s Degree + Insurance designations (CLU and/or ChFC).
  • FINRA Series 6 & 63 licenses or ability to obtain within 120 days of start date.
  • Minimum 5 + years in life insurance sales.

Responsibilities

  • Developing regional business plans that achieve and exceed sales targets for their assigned territory.
  • Prioritizing business plans through agent segmentation to achieve highest return on sales production.
  • Continuously analyzing territory to assess market changes or trends, personnel changes or relationship needs, and revising business plan (visits, trainings, etc) accordingly.
  • Working closely with the National Sales Manager to develop and implement segmentation initiatives in the region.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with BGA customers and Producers in order to establish and achieve sales targets.
  • Serving as the initial contact for problem resolution.
  • Researching accounts and/or elevating issues to solve problems.
  • Leading or coordinating training, webcasts and conference calls for BGA staff and Producers.
  • Proactively setting sales meetings visits and preparing agendas in advance (going in with a purpose).
  • Summarizing next steps and following through on commitments.
  • Partnering closely with assigned Internal Wholesaler, providing continuous communication on sales ideas, case management and BGA needs in order to advance sales within region.
  • Actively managing informal/formal applications to maximize placement and production.
  • Organizing and maintaining orderly files in designated CRM.
  • Reporting sales activity and production as required.
  • Maintaining successful relationships with internal clients including but not limited to Marketing, Compliance, Underwriting and Operations.
  • Maintaining ongoing knowledge on industry trends, UW regulations, advanced marketing concepts and company products.
  • Leveraging the Company’s expertise by working effectively with areas such as Product Development, Competition & Research, Advanced Sales, etc.
  • Consistently looking for “value adds” through service and selling ideas.
  • Keeping an ethical and compliant region based on company and regulatory standards.
  • Operating the region on a cost-effective basis within budget as determined by the company.
