About The Position

The Jed Foundation (JED) is a nonprofit dedicated to protecting emotional health and preventing suicide among teens and young adults. The School Programs and Consulting (SPC) division collaborates with educational institutions and organizations to improve student mental health through needs assessment, strategic planning, and ongoing support. The Regional Director, Intermountain West will represent JED in Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming, focusing on building regional infrastructure due to geographic challenges and fragmented systems. This role involves strategic and operational leadership, including brand building, network expansion, cultivating new partnerships, and matrix-managing a dispersed team of Consultants delivering programs like the District Mental Health Initiative (DMHI). The Director will engage with education leaders, state agencies, coalitions, funders, and AFSP chapters, generating leads and building relationships to secure new engagements. Success requires strong relationship-building skills, public-facing presence, and team management abilities. This is a remote position based in the Intermountain West, requiring significant travel within the region and occasional travel to JED's NYC headquarters. Candidates must reside in the Mountain West Region.
