About The Position

First Liberty Institute’s Development Officer is responsible for developing, cultivating, and growing new and existing markets for First Liberty throughout the United States. They are responsible for strategic expansion and growth of First Liberty donors throughout the country, maintaining and building intentional relationships with those who have capacity to support First Liberty in a meaningful way, building strong partnerships, and being a brand ambassador for First Liberty in the regions they cover.

Requirements

• Must be a professing Christian, agree with and sign First Liberty’s Articles of Faith
• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or related field OR 7+ years of experience in customer service, sales, or related field
• Passion for First Liberty’s mission
• Personal and professional integrity
• Strong interpersonal skills
• High standards of professionalism
• True personal humility paired with a strong sense of self confidence
• Self-starter, capable of working both autonomously and collaboratively with a hunger for personal and organizational growth
• Ability to travel as needed
• Proficiency in or ability to learn Microsoft applications on an Apple operating system and a CRM database

Responsibilities

• Maintain and strengthen authentic, lasting relationships with donors and prospects
• Develop, implement, and adapt individualized supporter strategies and modify as circumstances change
• Secure major gifts, multi-year pledges, and estate commitments to meet near, mid and long-term fundraising goals
• Contribute to existing culture of collaboration and cohesiveness
• Continually grow the donor pipeline with new major donor prospects
• Reflect organizational core values both professionally and personally
• Accurately report activity and results and keep actions updated in Virtuous database
• Other duties as assigned
