About The Position

Performance Contracting employs a variety of skilled trades for regional craft employment in Northern California. The company works with professionals in fields such as Abatement, Carpentry, Fireproofing, Painting, Plastering, Iron Work, Millwright, Operating Engineering, Plumbing/Piping, Glazing, Boilermaking, Electrical Work, Roofing, Sheet Metal Work, and Teamster roles. These roles involve the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of various structures and systems, often in challenging environments. On-the-job training is offered, and the positions require physical capability and adherence to union standards.

Requirements

Must be an active member of the union in good standing (in non-right to work states)
Ability to perform basic math
Must be at least 18 years old
Prolonged periods standing and working outside
Physically able to perform assigned tasks
Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time

Responsibilities

Work or removal of materials that have potential to create hazardous exposure (asbestos, lead, mold).
Perform skilled carpentry work in construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of wooden structures and fixtures.
Apply fireproofing materials in new and existing commercial construction sites.
Prepare work areas by transporting tools and equipment, loading/unloading materials, and cleaning construction sites.
Set up paint pots and utilize various paint systems to mix and apply industrial coatings.
Mix and prepare plastering/EIFS materials, coordinate material staging, and install EIFS substrate and multi-step plaster systems.
Construct, fabricate, and install structural steel and iron components.
Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and equipment.
Operate and maintain heavy equipment for construction, excavation, and earthmoving tasks.
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and piping networks.
Install, repair, and replace glass in various structures.
Construct, assemble, and repair boilers, pressure vessels, and other large metal containers.
Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.
Install, repair, and maintain roofs on buildings and structures.
Cut, shape, and install sheet metal for ducts, roofs, and other components.
Operate and drive trucks or other heavy vehicles to transport goods and materials.
