Candidates must be based in (and live a major airport): Florida Georgia Tennessee Texas Position Summary The Regional Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will help review the status of current programs at client locations, contribute to performance improvement activities, and support the implementation of CompleteRx clinical and pharmaco-economic initiatives in collaboration with the Regional Clinical Manager and Directors of Pharmacy. Assist in developing and delivering training and education materials to help pharmacists and technicians maintain relevant clinical competencies and provide clinical pharmacy services. Assist with preparing documents and support presentations of formulary initiatives to hospital clinical committees (e.g., Pharmacy & Therapeutics). On occasion, serve as an interim clinical manager at a client pharmacy location until a permanent clinical manager is hired and trained. May need to obtain additional state pharmacist licenses as needed upon request.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience and knowledge related to clinical pharmacy program in a hospital pharmacy setting.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of products, with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Excel.
  • Ability to travel part time via plane, automobile, or other means with occasional overnight (up to 30-50%) and occasional weekend travel.

  • PGY1 residency preferred
  • PGY2 residency with Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with implementation of clinical and pharmaco-economic programs at CompleteRx managed accounts: Coordinate with Managers and Directors on key initiatives and clinical and pharmaco-economic programs; measure improvements in quality, cost or patient care; provide regular status updates to CompleteRx management; and prepare supporting documents as needed.
  • Assist with building working relationships with key medical staff and hospital leaders.
  • Develop training and education programs: Contribute to the development of technical, clinical, and specialists staff. Assist in creating toolkits, training resources, and strategies to ensure CompleteRx clinical programs remain current and aligned with current evidence-based guidelines and patient care needs.
  • Assist with consulting projects as assigned: Assist with gathering, organize, and review data as directed. Support with the preparation of deliverables and reports. Offer preliminary input or observations to help inform recommendations. Provide general support in administering and delivering clinical services.
  • Support sales and marketing: Represent CompleteRx at conferences and trade shows, and present clinical topics in company hosted webinars.
