About The Position

The CareAllies Clinical Pharmacist will play a key role in executing strategic priorities focused on Stars Part D and medication utilization intended to unlock value and quality for physician clients by reducing complexity of care and elevating clinical results. This position collaborates with CareAllies clinical executives, physician client leaders, and clinical leaders to execute strategic priorities to improve quality, safety, and financial performance. You will support academic detailing activities, and process interventions, based on practice-level data, trends and identified opportunities. Inclusive of, but not limited to: Partnering with provider groups, and educating primary care physicians, advanced practice providers, and other clinical staff to aid in value-based care; Dissemination and support of performance data primarily centered on Stars Part D medication utilization intended to improve care for the population served; Participate in quality improvement programs, and initiatives driven by clinical needs, such as medication adherence enhancement efforts and evidence-based prescribing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy
  • Registered in good standing pharmacy license for the state is required
  • Registered pharmacist preceptor
  • Professional experience in managed care and / or in ambulatory care of 3+ years
  • Professional pharmacy practice experience with the patient population in the local market
  • Strong communication skills to convey clear understanding of unique needs to different audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a timely fashion
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and continue to operate effectively
  • Effectively builds informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization
  • Ensure tasks are prioritized appropriately to effectively and efficiently accomplish objectives and goals
  • Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft office platforms word, excel, and power point
  • Foundational understanding of the structure of the CMS Medicare program and associated regulatory landscape
  • Foundational understanding of the CMS quality improvement programs

Nice To Haves

  • Doctor of pharmacy degree is strongly preferred
  • Completion of an ASHP accredited Pharmacy PGY1 Residency program
