Position Summary Reporting to the Director of CEMS, the Regional CEMS Coordinator serves as the technical and compliance authority for Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) across multiple Reworld TTF facilities. This is a high-visibility, mission-critical role responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and regulatory defensibility of emissions monitoring data. The successful candidate will provide regional oversight of QA/QC execution, audit readiness, maintenance strategies, and change management, while working collaboratively with plant personnel, environmental staff, and corporate stakeholders. Location: East Coast Region – based at or near a Reworld TTF facility Reports to: Director, CEMS Travel: Approximately 30%

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with CEMS, analytical instrumentation, or emissions compliance systems preferred.
  • Working knowledge of CEMS regulations, QA/QC requirements, and audit processes.
  • Experience with DAS validation, emissions data review, and documentation practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for data review and analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with plant personnel, corporate leadership, and regulatory representatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence across multiple facilities without direct line authority.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a regional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide regional oversight of QA/QC activities for all CEMS and associated Data Acquisition Systems (DAS) within the assigned region.
  • Ensure daily calibration drift checks, QA/QC documentation, and maintenance records are accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable federal, state, and local regulations (including 40 CFR Part 60 and Appendix F), permits, consent decrees, and Reworld CEMS policies.
  • Periodically review site QA/QC practices and records to verify consistency and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate and oversee required audit activities, including quarterly cylinder gas audits, opacity audits, and annual Relative Accuracy Test Audits (RATAs).
  • Ensure audit readiness through pre-test inspections, QA maintenance, corrective actions, and documentation review.
  • Provide on-site support and technical supervision during audits as required.
  • Review and implement preventive and corrective maintenance strategies to maximize CEMS reliability and data availability.
  • Coordinate updates to routine and preventive maintenance procedures as needed.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate spare parts inventories for all CEMS components across assigned facilities.
  • Coordinate and oversee all changes, upgrades, or modifications to CEMS hardware, software, and DAS configurations.
  • Ensure all system changes are properly documented, reviewed for regulatory impact, and implemented in compliance with applicable requirements and internal policies.
  • Verify that no unauthorized system modifications have occurred during periodic site inspections.
  • Conduct semi-annual on-site inspections of each CEMS to verify system configuration, maintenance practices, and documentation accuracy.
  • Confirm ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and Reworld standards.
  • Provide regular regional status reports summarizing system performance, data availability, and significant non-routine events affecting CEMS operation.
  • Promptly notify the CEMS/Testing Department of any issues that could impact system accuracy, data availability, or the ability to perform scheduled audits or regulatory testing.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action development for significant CEMS events.
