About The Position

Harrington is a leading distributor of fluid process products and solutions for industrial applications, with over 70 locations across the United States. The company values people, innovation, and exceptional service. This role is crucial for ensuring inventory is aligned with business needs across Portland, Spokane, and Seattle locations. The Regional Buyer will partner with various internal teams and suppliers to manage replenishment, monitor inventory, and address supply challenges.

Requirements

1–2 years of purchasing, buying, inventory, or supply chain experience.
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across several locations.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build productive supplier and internal relationships.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new systems.

Responsibilities

Manage replenishment and stock purchase orders for assigned product lines across Portland, Spokane, and Seattle.
Review inventory levels and identify opportunities for transfers between locations.
Partner with Demand Planning to review Min/Max levels and purchasing forecasts.
Monitor open purchase orders, supplier lead times, and delivery dates and expedite orders when needed.
Help identify potential stock additions, reductions, excess inventory, and supply risks.
Work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve pricing, quantity, delivery, and invoice discrepancies.
Support vendor-managed and consigned inventory programs.
Identify opportunities to improve purchasing, inventory availability, service levels, and cost.
