About The Position

The Krusteaz Company is seeking a Midcentral Regional Business Development Manager. This sales role is responsible for exceeding annual sales goals within their assigned geographic area. The RBDM will partner with the broker agency to create and implement local market strategies for selling new and existing products to target customers and distributor partners. The position requires establishing and nurturing relationships with key operator customers, distributors, and broker agency partners to foster sustainable, long-term growth. The ideal candidate must reside in St. Louis, Missouri, Kansas City, Missouri, or Minneapolis, Minnesota.

  • Minimum 5 years foodservice sales and/or business development related experience required.

  • Specific vision abilities include close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • Ability to work in a confined area.
  • Ability to sit at a computer for an extended period of time.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Annual Operating Plan to achieve regional long-term and short-term objectives.
  • Cultivate direct and meaningful relationships with decision-makers at Regional Chains, Key Operators, and Distributor Partners.
  • Acquire new business through continuous sourcing and selling of new opportunities.
  • Penetrate existing customer accounts by identifying, presenting, and closing new opportunities.
  • Maintain the current mix of products and volume with existing customers.
  • Effectively present The Krusteaz Company's capabilities and go-to-market strategies to all partners.
  • Develop, negotiate, and maintain customer contracts.
  • Create and maintain a positive environment that motivates Broker partners to drive sales of The Krusteaz Company’s products.
  • Lead broker activities by providing value-added support through product training, selling strategies, and planning/executing market visits.
  • Establish a travel cadence to ensure high visibility in all markets, maintain positive representation, focus on The Krusteaz Company’s product line, and collaborate with the broker to maximize sales.
  • Conduct monthly broker reviews to assess progress and performance of market strategies.
  • Utilize CRM to effectively manage the Region portfolio, plan, track, and deliver the Sales Budget.
  • Manage Trade Spending programs and T/E cost-effectively to align with budgets.
