About The Position

The Regional Asset Protection Manager (RAPM) is responsible for ensuring Asset Protection initiatives and programs are executed within their assigned region. This multi-site role supports multiple locations across Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, and Ohio, with a preference for candidates residing near Detroit, MI. The RAPM analyzes and manages regional shrink performance, conducts investigations into theft and fraud, works to achieve shrink goals, and ensures Asset Protection processes are followed by the field team. They collaborate with Regional and District teams to mitigate theft, reduce shrink, and maintain a safe and secure environment for store teams, associates, and customers. The role involves coaching and training the field Asset Protection teams, reporting directly to the Sr Field AP Manager, and leading a team of Multi-Store Asset Protection Managers (MAPMs), Sr. Asset Protection Supervisors, and Asset Protection Specialists. The position typically reports to the Director of Asset Protection and has 10-15 direct reports.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Minimum of 4 years of work experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of leadership experience.
  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and manage regional shrink performance.
  • Detect, investigate, and resolve theft and fraud.
  • Deliver shrink goals and ensure Asset Protection processes are executed by the field team.
  • Work with Regional and District teams to drive theft mitigation and shrink reduction.
  • Ensure physical security processes provide a safe and secure environment for store teams, associates, and customers.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to gain cross-functional support and alignment.
  • Coach and train the field Asset Protection teams within the region.
  • Maintain close alignment with Region/District leaders to monitor progress for shrink mitigation programs and awareness.
  • Identify and resolve issues to ensure the Asset Protection Field team meet strategic and metric performance goals.
  • Execute the company's Asset Protection programs and initiatives within the region.
  • Onboard and train the Asset Protection field team, coach and develop them, and communicate all Asset Protection processes, programs, and trends.
  • Drive accountability to the Asset Protection deliverables, including region, district and store shrink goals, and physical security standards with direct reports.
  • Directly supervise the work activities of others, including planning, monitoring, and reviewing work of subordinates.
  • Lead, plan, and coordinate work teams to ensure effective performance.
  • Utilize metrics to track performance and manage workload.
  • Lead the Multi-Store Asset Protection Managers and the field team organization to drive alignment and engagement for all Asset Protection initiatives and programs that mitigate shrink, reduce theft and fraud, and maintain physical security standards.
  • Develop teams that drive AP performance towards achievement of quality standards and performance metrics.
  • Ensure priorities align with objectives and goals.
  • Coach and mentor employees providing ongoing performance feedback.
  • Develop leaders and build a deep talent bench for leaders by driving succession planning and selection.
  • Drive the development of direct reports by conducting annual and mid-year reviews, reviewing individual development plans and providing performance feedback.
  • Ensure adherence to major and minor work rule policies referenced in the Standards of Performance and all company SOPs.
  • Responsible for selection, termination, compensation, performance appraisal, discipline, and professional development of direct reports.
  • Drive communication and alignment to Regional and District team leaders on all AP initiatives, strategies and mitigation efforts to ensure awareness and alignment.
  • Drive engagement for Asset Protection programs with store, district and regional leaders ensuring the execution of strategies and processes through the Multi-store Asset Protection Manager (MAPM) and field teams within an assigned region.
  • Support internal and external case activity, investigative efforts, analyzing information and intelligence to establish prosecutable cases and restitution recovery.
  • Lead outlier management of stores that have shrink results not meeting company shrink guidelines within a Region and adapt strategies as necessary with the field team to reduce shrink.

Benefits

  • Pay range between $120,000.00 - $135,000.00 for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Nevada, New York City, Ithaca (NY), Westchester County (NY), and Washington residents.
