To provide operational support through management of financial data for a portfolio of 20-25 properties. Provide timely and accurate financial information to senior management, operational vice presidents, owners, investors and lenders. Monitor accounting and operational compliance with all federal/state agencies and MMA policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Two years’ accounting experience
  • Bachelor degree or higher in accounting curriculum.
  • Advanced mathematical and analytical skills
  • Computer skills
  • Demonstrate understanding of billing, receivable and payable systems
  • Demonstrate understanding of accounting/bookkeeping principles
  • Demonstrate concise oral and written communication abilities
  • Demonstrate planning and control abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • May on occasion be required to travel either day or overnight if required for business purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Monthly Responsibilities: Month end closing (Budget Operating Report review, research, Journal Entries, Accrual/reversals, Reclass/Adjustments), General Ledger Maintenance (Account Analysis), Board Meeting Preparation (BOR Review, Research and Support, Note Preparation), Government Reporting (Excess Income Reports, Agency Reports), Replacement/Capital Additions Schedules (YTD Expenditures, Adequacy of monthly funding).
  • Quarterly Responsibilities: Reserve for Replacement (Budget/Requirement, Funding Level).
  • Annual Responsibilities: Budgets (Preparation, Analysis, Review, Approval), Year End Closing (General Ledger Maintenance, Receivables - Government, Tenant), Financial Statements (Assist in preparation of audit, Draft Review, Auditor Entries).
  • Miscellaneous: Document Review (Mortgages, Contracts, Partnership Agreements).
