About The Position

This is a client-facing role responsible for managing the overall business relationship with accounts. The position involves account mapping, business unit breakdown, running Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) by Crane Worldwide offices servicing the account. The role also includes report creation, monitoring, distribution, and performance management. The Regional Account Manager will conduct market analysis, drive collaborative efforts internally by sharing best practices, and identify service or opportunity gaps. This role requires penetrating the organizational structure of clients to develop relationships beyond the main points of contact, maintaining rates, assessing yields, monitoring payments, and assisting with collections. The position also involves entering meeting notes and action items into the CRM, traveling within the region to visit accounts and offices, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the role focuses on identifying growth opportunities, developing strategies to secure them, and creating a business development plan with short- and long-term objectives.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of transportation industry logistics and freight forwarding.
  • Thorough knowledge of successful sales techniques.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently.
  • Good analytical and program management skills; ability to define, develop and document business processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall business relationship with accounts.

  • Create, monitor, and distribute reports.
  • Manage account performance.

  • Identify service or opportunity gaps through impact and coverage analysis.
  • Penetrate client organizational structures and develop relationships.

  • Enter meeting notes, action items, complaints, and compliments into the CRM.
  • Travel within the region to visit accounts/account sites and Crane Worldwide offices.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify growth opportunities and develop strategies to secure them.
  • Create a business development plan with short- and long-term objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
