About The Position

At Bayer, we are driven by a vision to solve the world's toughest challenges and create a future where 'Health for all, Hunger for none' is a reality. We are seeking a Regional Account Director (RAD) to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at major health systems, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), medical groups, and other strategic customers across St. Louis, Indianapolis, Central Illinois, and surrounding areas. The RAD will create demand for Bayer’s innovative cardiovascular and renal therapies by identifying and developing new opportunities, aligning customer needs with on-label solutions, and orchestrating cross-functional implementation at the health system level. This role is crucial for driving access, adoption, and sustained utilization of Kerendia® while preparing for and supporting the launch of a novel investigational therapy for secondary stroke prevention. The RAD will collaborate closely with internal teams to shape and execute cohesive account strategies and will be based within the territory, traveling up to approximately 50% to engage deeply with customers.

  • Proven experience building networks and relationships with stakeholders across IDNs, health systems and key accounts, with demonstrated success in strategic account management.
  • Experience launching new products or indications and leading strategic planning and execution at the account or health system level.
  • Outstanding facilitation, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead without authority and influence cross-functional, matrixed teams.
  • Strong understanding of customer channels, evolving market dynamics and business insights relevant to health systems and IDNs.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to travel within the territory, including up to approximately 50% overnight travel as business needs require.
  • Ability to meet customer credentialing and safety requirements (for example, required vaccinations and mandated trainings).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure integration and on-label access for Bayer’s cardiovascular renal (CVR) portfolio within account-level decision-making platforms (for example, EMRs, formularies, pathways, order sets and related tools), using on-label resources and cross-functional support to drive top-down demand at the enterprise level.
  • Develop and execute strategic, medium- to long-range account plans across the enterprise and lead implementation in close alignment with Medical, Market Access, Sales Leadership and other cross-functional partners.
  • Coordinate local pull-through of account strategies by mobilizing cross-functional Bayer teams to achieve short- and long-term account objectives and sales goals.
  • Identify and cultivate key decision makers, advocates and clinical and business champions across health systems and IDNs to achieve shared outcomes and account-level goals.
  • Build strong, compliant partnerships with accounts to identify opportunities that expand appropriate use of Bayer’s CVR portfolio, enhance care pathways and improve both patient and provider experience.
  • Partner with National Account Directors and cross-functional colleagues to shape and execute national and area-wide pull-through strategies, ensuring consistent implementation across assigned systems.
