About The Position

The Region III ROOTS Hub Program Coordinator II provides the operational, administrative, and partner support necessary to successfully implement ROOTS Hub initiatives across the six-county region. Working closely with the Program Director, this position serves as a key coordinator for regional activities, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and follow-through among partners and stakeholders. The Program Coordinator II is responsible for supporting partner engagement, coordinating meetings and events, facilitating community outreach activities, onboarding new partners, collecting and managing data, maintaining documentation, preparing reports, and supporting communication efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in public health, health administration, business administration, social services, community development, communications, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Five or more years of experience in program coordination, public health, health care, community engagement, nonprofit work, project administration, or related fields.
  • Valid NC driver's license
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
  • High degree of flexibility and adaptability
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and common virtual meeting platforms
  • Ability to accurately maintain records and handle confidential or sensitive information
  • Knowledge in coordinating multi-organizational initiatives, tracking data, preparing reports or grant/contract documentation
  • Knowledge in facilitating community meetings or stakeholder engagement

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support for the Region III ROOTS Hub, including calendars, meeting schedules, workplans, deadlines, and action items
  • Coordinate logistics for all meetings, including agendas, materials, sign-in sheets, follow-up communications, and progress
  • Track ROOTS Hub deliverables, outcomes, and performance measures through assignments, ensuring timely follow-up on commitments and next steps
  • Maintain current partner contact lists and support outreach to local health departments, providers, hospitals, community organizations, local governments, educational institutions, workforce partners, and residents
  • Compile information for quarterly Regional Anchor Activity and Expenditure Reports
  • Support development and distribution of approved ROOTS Hub communications, including newsletter, presentations, meeting materials, social media, community-facing materials, and related updates
  • Assist the Program Director with implementation planning, special projects, presentations, reports, and other program materials
