About The Position

The Regional HR Manager is responsible for managing end-to-end Human Resources operations across multiple U.S. sites (approximately 400 FTE) for Evonik Corporation. The role focuses on employee relations, HR policy implementation, compliance, performance management, and leadership coaching while partnering with regional HR teams to ensure consistent and effective HR outcomes. The position also supports talent development, training guidance, and proactive employee engagement initiatives across assigned sites.

Requirements

  • Broad HR knowledge across multiple functional areas, with experience collaborating with HR Specialists and HR Business Partners to improve HR outcomes
  • Strong customer orientation with the ability to understand stakeholder needs, combined with analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Human Resources or a related professional environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate-level Excel skills
  • Experience with Human Capital Management systems (Workday experience is considered an asset)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; Spanish language skills are an asset
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30% (primarily within the region)

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day HR operations at Tippecanoe Labs in conjunction with the HR team, (site size approx. 700 FTE), including employment, promotions, transfers, separations, investigations, legal/compliance matters, compensation administration, Open Door activities, and labor relations
  • Advise supervisors and managers on HR policies to ensure consistent application and accurate interpretation across departments
  • Coach managers on disciplinary actions, procedures, and appropriate documentation standards
  • Review performance improvement plans (PIPs) and provide feedback to leaders before employee communication
  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints in a timely manner and escalate significant issues to the Director, Regional HR when required
  • Collaborate with Regional HR teams to develop programs and processes that foster a positive and engaging work environment
  • Conduct proactive employee relations initiatives, including structured feedback sessions and employee recognition programs
  • Counsel employees and supervisors on training and development opportunities and guide them toward appropriate learning resources and systems
