About The Position

The Regeneration Operator prepares resin, mobile equipment and ion exchange resin tanks for customer fulfillment. This role involves regenerating ion exchange resin and media with various chemicals, including acids, bases, and salts. The operator also performs quality control checks on equipment and is generally responsible for tasks performed by Plant Operations.

Requirements

  • Ability to apply to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form

  • Follows EHS procedures and policies
  • At least 1 year of experience in comparable manufacturing environment involving chemical handling, or at least 1 year of experience in plumbing, pump or mechanical repair
  • Ability to perform frequent lifting and bending motions
  • Ability to use hand tools and manually manipulate products/equipment
  • Operate Forklift as needed
  • HS Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record history

Responsibilities

  • Prepares labels for resin tanks
  • Monitors bulk chemical delivery
  • Receives resin from customer sites in resin tanks or on mobile equipment
  • Empties tanks or equipment of the exhausted media and prepares it for regeneration
  • Regenerates ion exchange resins and media with acids, bases and other chemicals
  • Performs quality control checks on the equipment to ensure specifications are met (e.g., pH, specific ions, resistivity, and TDS)
  • Repairs and helps maintain bottles/tanks and other service type of equipment, which could include minor valve/PVC repairs, painting, and refurbishing
  • Prepares resin tanks or mobile equipment by filling empty tanks with regenerated media
  • Separates ion exchange resins as required
  • Wears personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes) as required
  • Completes occasional site assignments for customer troubleshooting, operation and installation
  • Performs physical duties such as lifting, climbing, working at elevated heights, and manual dexterity
  • Works in a range of environments including industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities
  • Travels for install and repair if needed
  • Other duties as assigned
