About The Position

The cashier/runner is a team member classified based on individual theatre needs, and/or employee availability, as either variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular or a full-time hourly employee whose main responsibility is taking food and drink orders from guests and delivering those orders to designated seats/tables.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (if not currently a high school student).
  • Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as box office cashier or progress towards completion required.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • 1+ year of food running or bussing.
  • Servsafe or equivalent certificate.
  • Alcohol training and certification.
  • Possess good public speaking, listen effectively and respond clearly and directly.
  • Full English is required, Spanish is a plus.
  • Perform calculations with speed and accuracy and identify and correct errors.
  • Identify problems, gather relevant data and note possible causes of problems.
  • Evaluate relevant information, recognize alternatives and reach conclusions based on evidence.
  • Take action beyond what is necessarily called for.
  • Perform under pressure and/or opposition.
  • Possess excellent communication skills with customers, co-workers and management.
  • Establish goals, budget time and set priorities to achieve desired objectives.

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Regular and consistent attendance.
  • Deliver concessions items, kitchen items, and bar items to guests including utensils, sauces, and napkins while embodying Nice and Amazing Service by following all In Seat Dining procedures.
  • Work closely with expediter to ensure all food is delivered simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
  • Demonstrate Commitment, and Integrity always – double check that orders are correct and complete and communicate with kitchen/expediter/supervisors if they are not.
  • Guide guests through the menu and suggest promotions, add-ons, or upsell, demonstrating knowledge of menu and Cinebarre offerings if guests would like to order more items.
  • Clean auditoriums removing all dishes, trash, and providing managers with any found items.
  • Navigate guest complaints and assist with requests or direct them to proper resource if unable to assist.
  • Be cognizant of issues with movie projections-communicating with management when issues arise.
  • Acknowledging guest by Cinebarre standards.
  • Attend and participate in trainings and meetings.
  • Knowledge of and promotion of Regal Crown Club Program.
  • Knowledge of all passes and discount tickets accepted by Regal and their proper handling procedures.
  • Filling out the Daily Pass Log.
  • Proper sell out procedures.
  • Knowledge and enforcement of the MPAA rating system.
  • Proper phone usage.
  • Knowledge of all emergencies, evacuation and robbery procedures.
  • General cleaning duties.
  • Proper use of all cleaning materials.
  • Good guest service techniques.
  • Knowledge and compliance of dress code.
  • Ensuring guest satisfaction – smile, greet, and thank all guests.
  • Abide by all federal and state laws with regards to breaks a/o meal periods.
  • Completion of cast certification program as a cast member or progress towards completion.
  • Required to read and understand training materials that will cover subjects such as sexual harassment and discrimination.
