About The Position

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leading fleet maintenance provider, is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician in Buffalo, NY. This role involves diagnosing and repairing Thermo King and Carrier Reefer units, offering stable hours, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits. The position is for the day shift, with weekly pay, and potential sign-on and retention bonuses.

Requirements

Proven experience with Reefer units (Thermo King and/or Carrier)
EPA 608 Certification (Required)
Experience with PMs and A/C systems
Valid Driver’s License (Class C)
Own hand tools and toolbox
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Word, fleet systems, email)
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain Thermo King and Carrier refrigeration units
Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) and A/C service
Repair refrigeration diesel engines on trailer units
Conduct safety inspections and complete required documentation
Perform DOT inspections and trailer repairs when reefer units are fully operational
Access and inspect undercarriages and mechanical components
Remove and install parts as needed
Maintain accurate service records (computer & manual entry)
Communicate with clients via phone and email
Follow all safety regulations and company procedures
