About The Position

This role involves servicing, diagnosing, installing, and ensuring compliance with refrigeration systems in commercial settings. The technician will be responsible for maintaining compressors, condensers, and evaporators, identifying faults in electrical and mechanical components, setting up new systems, and handling refrigerants in accordance with EPA regulations. Accurate documentation of work orders and repairs is also a key part of the job.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • EPA Type I & II Certification (mandatory for many roles).
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work on ladders, and operate in confined spaces.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, knowledge of electrical circuits, and proficiency with hand/power tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational or technical training is highly preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in HVAC/R (though entry-level positions exist).
