About The Position

Amerit Fleet Solutions is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join their team. This role is responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of medium-duty fleet vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient operation. The technician will focus on Reefer units, preventative maintenance (PMs), and A/C systems, requiring a high level of proficiency and a working knowledge of diesel engine refrigeration units on trailers. Experience with heavy-duty trailer repair is essential. Depending on repair flow, there may be opportunities to work on DOT inspections and repairs for trailers when Reefer units are operational. The position offers competitive hourly pay, paid weekly, and operates on a NIGHT shift from Monday to Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Requirements

High level of proficiency and working knowledge working on Reefer units, PMs, and A/C
Must have EPA 608 certification
Required Reefer experience repairing the Refrigeration unit (Diesel Engine) on a Trailer (Heavy-Duty Trailer Repair)
Must have valid Driver's License - Class C
Must provide own hand tools & toolbox
Proficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email
Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)

Nice To Haves

Experience with Reefer units (Thermo King and/or Carrier)
607 and 608 Certifications a plus
Experience with PMs and A/C

Responsibilities

Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to Reefer vehicles
Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required
Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
Remove or install various parts on vehicles
Interact with clients through both email or phone as necessary
Perform other duties as required
