About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and dependable high school senior to join our team as a Refrigeration Technician Apprentice Intern. This part-time, hands-on internship is designed to provide exposure to the commercial refrigeration and HVAC trade over a 10–12 month period during the student’s senior year. The intern will work alongside experienced technicians (4th-year apprentice or higher) in the field and gain valuable insight into the day-to-day responsibilities of a refrigeration professional. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a skilled trades career.

Requirements

• Current high school senior
• Strong interest in mechanical work or skilled trades (HVAC/refrigeration preferred)
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Dependable with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Basic communication skills and eagerness to ask questions

Responsibilities

• Shadow and assist experienced refrigeration technicians at job sites
• Observe installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration systems
• Ask questions and actively participate in learning opportunities
• Assist with basic tasks under supervision, including tool handling and job site preparation
• Support warehouse operations as needed, including: Organizing parts and materials, Cleaning and maintaining workspace areas, Inventory support and stocking
