About The Position

We are seeking a Refrigeration Technician 1 to join our Facilities Refrigeration team! The Refrigeration Technician 1 assists the Refrigeration Technician 2 and 3 to support retail refrigeration operations by performing HVAC repair and maintenance, rack refrigeration general maintenance and some routine general refrigeration maintenance service requests for retail stores. Requirements

• HVAC or Refrigeration Trade school completion or equivalent experience
• 1 year working in skilled trades service or construction disciplines OR 2 years Publix Retail or Operations experience
• EPA Universal License
• Must be 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to lift/lower/climb ladders/walk on roofs
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule; including nights, weekends, and to travel with overnight stays
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
• 20 years of age to drive a company vehicle

Responsibilities

• Performing repairs and general maintenance using many different refrigerant types such as carbon dioxide (CO2), glycol, etc.
• Repairing and general maintenance of Energy Management systems such as Emerson and Danfoss.
• Performing housekeeping duties such as maintaining accurate parts inventory.
• Participating in special refrigeration projects for retail facilities.
• Assisting with the implementation of corporate projects.
