About The Position

We here at the Gustave A Larson Company are looking for our next team member to join us as a Refrigeration Specialist. We are an HVAC/R wholesale distributor throughout the Midwest and the Mountain States. We thrive on being customer service oriented, being nimble, balancing multiple responsibilities, and developing positive relationships with our teams to work together to get the job done. This is PRIMARILY an inside sales role supporting the estimate, sale, and management of refrigeration projects with a complete and comprehensive understanding of requirements and specifications, mainly for new construction and design build projects. The role requires knowledge of refrigeration systems and product capabilities, including ancillary materials. Responsibilities include preparing work for estimation by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. The role also involves pricing, costing, quoting, and proficient computer skills specifically with estimating and job cost tracking software, as well as working with the sales department to secure vendor pricing. Preparing submittals for customers in a timely manner, formulating customer job quotes, expediting customer orders, and receiving and submitting orders via telephone, email, and quoting software are also key functions. The company emphasizes continuing education to elevate professional growth and development through industry-aligned programs. We operate with a team spirit of cooperation and problem-solving, coordinating sales efforts with warehouse, counter sales, and inside sales teams. The company also has a training program that involves learning the entire business operations from the beginning, including the operating system, customer service expectations, will calls, and supporting the entire branch organization to build a solid foundation in the role.

Requirements

  • Previous refrigeration experience of 5+ years, including more than just technical experience; refrigeration selling skills roles are also required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Must be capable of multitasking and have the ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Understanding and experience of prior commercial sales with refrigeration is required.

Responsibilities
