About The Position

Berg Industrial Service provides industrial refrigeration solutions including design, installation, maintenance, and service support for food processing, cold storage, and industrial facilities. We take pride in long-term customer relationships and reliable service execution. We are looking for a mid-level Outside Sales Representative focused on growing our service and maintenance business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the field, working directly with customers, and building long-term relationships. The primary focus is on identifying service opportunities, securing maintenance agreements, and supporting ongoing customer needs.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in outside sales or account management, ideally in: Refrigeration, HVAC / mechanical service, Industrial equipment or service-based sales
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a customer-first mindset
  • Ability to identify opportunities within existing accounts (upselling service work)
  • Good technical aptitude; comfortable discussing mechanical systems
  • Organized, self-driven, and comfortable working independently in the field
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Greater Toronto Area.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling service contracts or maintenance agreements
  • Familiarity with refrigeration systems
  • Background in mechanical trades, refrigeration, or engineering
  • Experience working with service teams or coordinating field work

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with existing customers to grow service revenue
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for: Preventative maintenance programs, Service agreements, Repairs, retrofits, and system upgrades
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess equipment condition and customer needs
  • Generate and follow up on service quotes and proposals
  • Work closely with service and operations teams to coordinate execution
  • Maintain an active pipeline of service opportunities
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide timely solutions
  • Track customer activity and opportunities using CRM tools
