We are looking for a Refrigeration B Operator to join our team at our manufacturing facility located in Brantford, Ontario. This role is currently open due to an existing vacancy. Requirements

Class “B” Refrigeration Operator certification
Experience within a TSSA-regulated ammonia facility
Knowledge and experience on Ammonia Refrigeration Systems
2-5 years of experience working in a manufacturing plant
Ability to work weekends as required

Nice To Haves

Experience in food manufacturing industry preferred

Responsibilities

Responsible for the safe operations of the refrigeration plant.
Maintain and operate ammonia refrigeration system, HVAC, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Complete routine inspection and testing of equipment and infrastructure to ensure proper operations.
Monitor and maintain water treatment for boiler systems, chillers, and cooling towers.
Document readings on plant equipment including boilers, water and gas consumption.
Preform sampling and testing for Waste Water Treatment.
Perform repairs and general maintenance duties associated with the refrigeration and boiler systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical breakdown relating to the utilities to ensure minimal impact to production.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by ensuring the facility is operating in accordance with the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA).
Complete work orders and apply corrective measures in a timely manner.
Assist other members of the maintenance team with repairs, preventative maintenance tasks, and minor building repairs.
Follow all prescribed Safety, SOPs, HACCP, and GMP procedures.
Ability to work in noisy conditions, in a cold environment and occasionally from heights.
