About The Position

This role involves performing duties at a level 8 classification, including observing, adjusting, and repairing ammonia systems, air compressors, chilled water, chlorine, ice maker and delivery, HVAC, and hot water generation and delivery systems. The position requires monitoring and adjusting product cooler temperatures, responding to trouble calls, and performing other assigned duties. This includes general cleaning, assisting other crews, and maintaining safety, housekeeping, sanitation, and food safety requirements. The role also contributes to maintaining and improving quality and food safety to ensure compliance with company standards and USDA regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the refrigeration field or a combination of experience and instruction may be acceptable.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and make on-the-spot corrections in emergency situations.
  • Good written and verbal English-communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work from a ladder.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and pass a SCBA physical exam.
  • Must be certified or become certified to work on Freon systems.
  • Ability to work weekends and rotating shifts.
  • Ability to submit and pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities
