About The Position
St Mary Medical Center is looking for a Refrigeration Mechanic to join their team. This is a full-time position with a 40-hour work week, operating on a day shift. The role involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing various refrigeration equipment, air conditioners, and heat pumps. Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical malfunctions, installing new equipment, and performing maintenance on ice machines and water coolers. The position also requires assisting other crafts, participating in snow removal and salt spreading as needed, and adhering to departmental policies and procedures. Additionally, the role involves operating M.C. DDC equipment, computers, and software programming. Requirements
- Experience with refrigeration equipment, air conditioners, and heat pumps.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical malfunctions.
- Skills in installing and repairing refrigeration equipment.
- Familiarity with fan motors, electrical connections, thermostats, gauges, and pressure cutouts.
- Ability to perform maintenance on ice machines and water coolers.
- Willingness to assist other crafts.
- Ability to assist in snow removal and salt spreading.
- Adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
- Experience with M.C. DDC equipment, computers, and software programming.
Responsibilities
- Inspects and operates refrigeration equipment, air conditioners, heat pumps, etc., for proper functioning.
- Maintains and repairs refrigeration equipment; fan motors, electrical connections, thermostats gauges, pressure cutouts, etc.
- Installs new refrigeration equipment and air conditioning equipment. Mounts compressor and condenser units, connects tubing, solders joints, etc.
- Troubleshoots electrical malfunctions in refrigeration equipment.
- Performs maintenance on all ice machines and water coolers.
- Assists other crafts when required.
- Assists in snow removal and salt spreading, as required.
- Follows departmental Policies and Procedures when performing all duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director.
- Operations M.C. DDC equipment, computers, software programming, etc…
