About The Position

This position performs technical duties in the installation, repair, and maintenance of refrigeration and HVAC systems at the Tahlequah Campus. The work consists of related technical duties, and the variety of equipment to be maintained contributes to the complexity of the position. The purpose of this position is to install, repair and maintain university HVAC equipment. Success in this position results in safe and well-maintained buildings.

Requirements

Knowledge of HVAC system installation, repair and maintenance.
Knowledge of relevant construction codes.
Knowledge of the tools and equipment used in the installation, repair and maintenance of HVAC systems.
Knowledge of department policies and procedures.
Skill in diagnostic troubleshooting.
Skill in the operation of job-related tools, vehicles and equipment.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education.
Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
Ability to maintain regular attendance.

Responsibilities

Installs, repairs and maintains HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
Maintains records of work performed.
Assists other personnel in the performance of repair and maintenance tasks as needed.
Maintains assigned tools and equipment.
Performs related duties as assigned.
